Description
Lonestar Specialty Vehicles is recalling certain 2021-2023 SV Hybrid Electric S22 terminal tractors. The Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) may disable the Battery Management System (BMS) isolation measurement feature, preventing the detection of a high voltage battery pack malfunction.
Issue
An operator may be unaware of a high voltage battery pack malfunction, increasing the risk of a fire.

Corrective Action
Lonestar Specialty Vehicles has released an over-the-air (OTA) VCU software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 19, 2024. Owners may contact Lonestar customer service at 1-903-306-0801.
